Stampin' Up! new catalog open house projects...

I am really excited about the new Stampin' Up! catalog and I am having an open house tomorrow night. Below are the three projects that all my stamping friends are going to do. I used the 4 new stamp sets that I pre-ordered (Teeny Tiny Wishes, Razzle Dazzle, Lots of Bots and Autumn Days), 4 of the 6 new InColors (Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Soft Suede), 2 new ribbons and the InColor markers. Everyone is gonna have a lot of fun making these 3 cards, winning doorprizes and eating desert. If you are in the area why don't you drop by...

artisan award losing entries...

If you read my blog at all this winter you know that I spent a ton of hours working on my entries for Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Award contest. Well I didn't win, obviously and since I am mostly done sulking about it I thought that I would take the time to share the 3 scrapbook pages that I did for it. The scrapbook pages feature my three youngest children Manny, Ellie and Jessika. I won't get into the details of what I used since most of it is now retired but I needed to do a little showing off. Sorry about the quality of the pictures, they were taken poolside at my girlfriends beach house where I put the finishing touches on my entries.

elzybell design team challenge...

It is time for the fortnightly challenge. And this time the whole team was challenged to make a card using the colors in their countries flag. Turns out that even though we have several different countries represented all the colors are Red, White and Blue or just red and white for my neighbors to the north. Broke out my sewing machine (all your fault Paula) because the card needed a little something. The main image is colored with colored pencils and paper pieced. The clouds are sponged onto the navy background.

What I used:
Elzybell Art Stamps
Night of Navy, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White card stock
designer paper of unknown origin, has been in my stash for eternity
basic black classic ink pad, whisper white craft pad
Lyra colored pencils, blending stump and OMS
star brad (SU)
wide navy organdy ribbon

Elzybell new release day sneak peek...

Today is new release day, the day you can finally purchase any of the goodies that the Elzybell design team has been showing you for the last couple of days. So go get some retail therapy.

For todays card I combined the SplitCoast sketch challenge with this weeks Color Throwdown challenge to make this sweetly simple card. I used Elzybell Art Stamps newest word set "Thank you for..." and teddy in a polka dot dress. I colored the teddy with my Lyra colored pencils and paper pieced her dress and flower then added some white accents with my white gel pen.
What I used:
Elzybell Art Stamps Thank you for and Teddy in polka dot dress
Kraft, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze card stock
Bella Rose designer paper
Basic Black and Whisper White stamp pads
Lyra colored pencils, OMS and blending stump
white gel pen

day two sneak peeks

Did you like yesterdays Elzybell Art Stamps sneak peeks? Are you ready for more? I used Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday sketch to make this card. This set is the soon to be released Pamper Yourself dinkie set. Isn't she cute? Not much of a girlie girl myself though my bathroom countertop is cluttered with pots and potions too.

What I used:
Elzybell Art Stamps Pamper Yourself dinkie set
Whisper White, Pixie Pink, Old Olive card stock
Basic Grey Sultry designer paper
basic black and old olive stamp pads
Lyra colored pencils, OMS and blending stump
scallop square punch
button brad (Making Memories), pink stitched ribbon ($1 bin at Micheals)

it's sneak peek time again

Hi everybody. Sorry for the late post today. My little kiddos are still in school and every year they have a fun little event called game day that I just had to attend this morning. I had a card to share with you this morning but when I saw the challenge on SplitCoastStampers this morning I knew I needed to save that one for another day and make this card for today instead. The Try a New Technique challenge was Faux Denim and I just love how it came out and it goes perfectly with the image I had colored. Don't ya think? The image is from the new clear set "Rubbadubdub" that Elizabeth will have available for purchase on Wednesday. Isn't she fun? Make sure you stop back by Tuesday and Wednesday to see what else is coming out.

What I used:
Elzybell Art Stamps Rubbadubdub
Riding Hood Red, Brocade Blue, Kraft, Whisper White card stock
Bella Rose designer paper
Basic Black, Whisper White, Brocade Blue, Buckaroo Blue stamp pads
Lyra colored pencils, OMS and blending stump
fisker eyelet edge punch
brocade blue wide grosgrain ribbon

Oh and don't forget to check out what Elizabeth and the rest of the design team have done:
